Why DIA Face?

animated typing

The DIA algorithm implements advanced face localization, enrollment and matching using robust digital image processing algorithms, which are based on deep neural networks.

There are multiple methods in which facial recognition systems work, but in general, they work by comparing selected facial features from given image with faces within a database. The DIA Face application has a facial recognition engine which checks the quality of images before the facial extraction and matching is executed. Meaning that Digital Identity Authority can uniquely identify a person by analysing patterns based on the person's facial textures and shape. The engine also makes use of a database allowing for 1:N matching.

While initially a form of computer application, it has seen wider uses in recent times on mobile platforms and in other forms of technology. It is typically used as a means of identifying a person via Relevant Authority, once identification is complete the users is then able to enrol the applicant to the DIA database for future verification.

The DIA Face application can be widely adopted due to its contactless and non-invasive processes. Recently, it has also become popular as a commercial identification and marketing tool in order to prevent fraud.
